Follow the installation in order, from substrate preparation to the protected roof finish.

01

Substrate & preparation

The concrete roof area was prepared and primed before the waterproofing build-up began.

02

Upstands & reinforcement

Fleece reinforcement was formed around parapets, upstands, outlets and penetrations.

03

Hot melt waterproofing

The reinforced waterproofing layer was applied continuously across the flat area and details.

04

Insulation build-up

Insulation boards were coordinated across the flat area and continued into the perimeter details.

05

Stone ballast finish

A stone ballast finish completed and protected the waterproofing build-up.

The brief

Deliver a coordinated waterproofing build-up around parapets, penetrations and upstands on a live residential development.

The approach

Prepare and prime the concrete, reinforce the field and upstands, apply the hot melt build-up, install insulation and complete the roof with a stone ballast finish.

The result

A complete protected roof build-up with coordinated upstands, penetrations and finished perimeter details.
